Homebrew GB/GBC emu sav help needed

i dloaded lameboy.9
and games work perfect but i cant get my games to save i.e. mario tennis, pokemon etc.
i found that lameboy writes a sav file but for some reason it doesnt detect the older save file so i can never cotinue my game
anyone have a solution for this

Right now I'm only playing Wario Land but I've been using the X button to tell Lameboy to save my progress and it's successfully done so each time. Have you tried doing that? If so, I wouldn't know what the problem would be but hopefully that helps.
