Since nobody said this...

It might be flux. Corrosion doesn't come off with alcohol, but flux comes off extremely easily with 99% iso alcohol. Granted, flux can corrode over time since it's normally used as a cleaning agent to remove oxidation (meaning that it could go through metal given enough time), but I've never seen it happen. Chinese boards aren't always cleaned 100% clean of flux, so chances are that some splashed on there and it just kinda stuck. The longer it's left though, the harder it is to clean. Try scraping at it with a toothpick and then attempt to clean it again with alcohol.
I clean old flux with no-clean flux. I'm so clever.

I'll try this once I see what YeahGeek's reply is about a replacement.

Thanks!

All flashcards are assembled manually. Dust, fingerprints and other shit are common on visible, metallic elements like contact pads.

I just received this for the holidays and opened it up to see that the plated connections have some sort of corrosion on them. I can't really test since I'm still waiting for the 9.2 support but YeahGeek says they test each one before shipping.

I did try to clean with 91% Iso Alcohol on a Q-Tip. It didn't do much to clean it up.

I emailed them to see what can be done. Has anyone had this issue before?
Link to pics, they are big.

Black card you have is bad looking though.
