So my Gateway sticker has been peeling off and I noticed that the processor is exposed, is it safe to remove the sticker? The processor won't get damaged or anything?

Slap a piece of tape over the sticker or just replace the sticker with tape. 
If you don't want to lose the gateway sticker, i'm sure a dot of super glue on whichever corners are coming up will do the job too.
