Hacking Gateway site update

Without downgrading to 2.1? This is unlikely.
They're probably going to greatly simplify the install process though. Maybe they will add 2.1 downgrade to the menu along with OTP dump, making the process as simple as make NAND backup, downgrade, dump OTP, and restore, all from within the Gateway menu. Of course they'd have to make the downgrade process safe so that no bricks can occur. They did a good job with the 4.x downgrade, haven't heard of any bricks occurring from that.

That's exactly what I'm hoping for. If we get this, along with ability to play retail carts region free, I'll never need CFW again.

I fear that they will create their own proprietary version of a9lh, unusable for other payloads. Let's hope that is not the case.....

There is going to be many cfw broken hearts when they release all their cool shit!

I really... REALLY hope that they provide an easier, brick-safe way to dump the OTP.bin file.
I really hope they do provide such an option, it's the only thing that's keeping me to switching to A9LH (and no, I don't want to even risk a brick, I have tested my luck before with these things).

I wonder if this corner is going to be as long as the corner in the Gatewait hype thread.

I'm asking what will be the 10.3 support...
Native support, or downgrade to 9.2...

Let's see

Maybe the surprise is that there is going to be a Gateway v2.0 hardware, given that they keep going on about still supporting the V1 hardware?

Super GW+ !!! The only improvement I see them making is adding internal DS rom support on the same chip as the Red Card, so you wouldn't need a separate Blue Card. Either way, love my GW and am glad I haven't had to buy a new card like all the other cheap companies used to pull in the DS days.

What? What does that even mean? I've used a9lh since the day the OTP stuff was made public, and I still use my GW as well.

yeah exactly how is GW not already compatible with A9LH?
it does not seem to make any sense
but then a again remember GW saying in a pervious news post that they knew DG was possible with sysupdater but they were advising their users not to use it and not to DG until they themselves released their own DG method
so i assume they plan on releasing their own DG tool which may or may not require the red card to e inserted maybe they will also release their own OTP extractor or something else i have no idea , bt i would think they would release a DG solution
and them saying 10.3 specifically seems odd as well if they have another DG method not involving sysupdater then why not make it work up to latest DG able FW that sysupdater works with? seems like they are going to release a proprietary DG solution but only for up to 10.3 for now and probably wait to release another DG solution later for higher FW's

Don't forget that homebrew was possible by reversing their loader in the first place. Maybe they have a new kernel exploit on 10.3 even (iirc 10.4 was the next kernel change). In other words, launching GW from stock 10.3.

They make it sound like there's already a hardware revision in circulation. This either means there's more than one red card version, and no one knew, or they're talking about the blue card.
