I think it is still 9.2, but why gateway?

Because my 3ds is on firmware 9.4 and I tried downgrading followed a tutorial and kept getting and error so I bought new micro sd cards and tried again and still kept getting the same error so I gave up on that I thought maybe I could still use gateway but I'm on 9.4 so I cant

I got another question, I've got a gateway with EmuNAND v10.2.0-28 U and I would like to update (didn't played on my 3DS for some time) so I can update my games. But, AFAIK, the latest version (11.0.0-33 U) isn't compatible with the latest GW version.

Anything I can do?

Just update your emuNAND. Gateway supports the latest.

OP: Gateway only works on system that are exploitable, aka 9.2 or lower. And if you are on an exploitable firmware it means you can install CFW emuNAND or A9LH + CFW sysNAND for free instead of paying for gateway.

Downgrade[/QUOTE[/QUOTE]
What did you use to downgrade to 9.2?
I would recommend using this to help you with your 9.2 downgrade (and set up menuhax or a9lh) so you can boot your Gateway :P https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/9.2.0-Downgrade

stuck on section 2 part 4 of the guide it says checking for am:u did not get am:u handle! attempting svchax... then i go to section 2 part 10 to delete USA Region: Delete 0000008f and repeat in what seems to be an endless loop working on my 5th attempt i don't know if this is normal...

Which one is latest 3.4.1 ultra or 3.7.1 beta? I'm using a o3ds btw so I just need to go to system setting to update right?

It appears to be normal, yes.

Plailect's Guide said:
  • If you are stuck being unable to acquire the am:u service, power off your 3DS by holding the power button and try again (this can take many tries)

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.
