Hacking Gateway question (regarding bootup)

If the installed thing(DS exploit - I forgot what it's called I havent been active with my 3ds or flashcarts for a while) that lets me boot into gateway menu gets corrupted or uninstalled on my 9.0 system, do I still need to use OOT exploit to get into the menu to reinstall it?

Im asking because Im going to sell retail carts I own and I'd like to sell my OOT aswell if I dont need it !

You need to put the nds program to write to mset the exploit, if you have a downgraded mset

Homebrew called FBI can install NVRAM to your 3ds.
Or you can use Browserhax+Pasta CFW+Cubic Ninja CIA to run Gateway launcher.
You don't even need CN/OOT/Sky3DS to set up Gateway on 9.0-9.2 N3DS now.

If you have downgraded MSET at least once, no further downgrade is needed. Just installing NVRAM which FBI provides is enough.

And, yes it is quite tiresome, you can enter GW-mode from Pasta CFW. (did you even try it?)

You can also install the bluecardfix, then you will be able to use it to reinstall the mset rop.
