Hacking Gateway for 9.2 question

Well, I have a friend who has a 9.2 3DS and hes able to reach the gateway boot and menu through the browser etc etc, he now wants to make emunand on his 3DS, does he have to downgrade, or just "Format emunand" and go to profile ---> Ds profile and bam?

Shouldn't be any need to downgrade if he doesn't want to.

Won't be able to use the DS Profile exploit though if he stays on 9.2 sysnand, so will have to continue to use the browser exploit instead.

So yeah it should be as simple as > boot exploit through browser to gateway menu > format emunand and done.

More precisely, every time he uses the exploit in sysnand he will be in emunand. If he runs it from emunand it will crash the system.

Yeah well that kinda goes without saying doesn't it? Seeing as if you try use the exploit in emunand it aint gonna do shit except lock the system up...
