Hacking gateway exfat read fail?

I accidentally inserted my gateway microsd into my android, the android said it was corrupt; when I took it out, gateway would not recognize it and displayed a filesystem error
how do i fix this?

Both FAT32 and exfat work with Gateway I believe. It's just that Fat32 can't have 4 GB rom files stored on it. So if you aren't the type to trim your roms (Which I'd recommend anyways), then you'll have to go with exfat. There's only like 3-4 (4 GB) games out there anyways. And all of them CAN be trimmed.

To even format your card to fat32, you'll need a special program. I forgot what it was though.

Formatting it in windows should give you the option to format it as exfat by default

the sd card worked before and I had some roms on it; I dont want to lose the data, and I have a lot of important saves on the sd. How can i recover it?

The saves will be on your sd inside 3ds. On the gateway sd You will have to format and start fresh if partition showing as RAW. Then copy roms back on it

i thought that only applies to card1 roms; does ACNL have its .sav on the sd?

Nope, that's stored on gateway sd.

Seems like it deleted the partition for some reason. The data is still there, so the partition can be recovered.

Nope, that's stored on gateway sd.

do i need to have the exact rom the save came from, or can i just decrypt it and add it to a .cia?

You can put a .sav in a .cia using save data filer I think. I'm pretty sure need a cfw other than gateway node to do it though.
