yeah me too, i searched for C080 and different when i jump.
and then added 1 to the address and set to 40CB, it works great for Majora's Mask, i'm just about to share the code :)

Majora's Mask JPN (and EUR I think too)

[Hold X - Moon Jump]
DD000000 00000400
190BE7FB 0000CB40

I'll make a US Majora's Mask moonjump in a bit, I need to rip the rom from my cart.
why are you guys using 16bit on an 8bit address, .....7FC 000000CB doesn't work?

No it's 16 bit.

so alone ....FB 00000040 or ..... FC 000000C8 will not work?
moonjump usually are 32bit like xyz axis
the n64 zelda games write a 16bit value 40CB to get moon jump.
same with these games too

Seriously, how do I go about making a button activator to make an encounter shiny ? I want to learn. XD someone help me I'm new

moonjump value is not limited to only one value, it is just strange to see one that uses 2 8bit, so just wondered if you guys got the address wrong

sure i understand lol not every moonjump code uses 40CB :D
but that is what everyone has used for n64 zelda and it's the same on 3ds too

the button part is easy. the shiny bit... no
i tried to do pokemon encounter modifier and i didn't get very far.
i only could change the pokemon on the touch screen display, the search thing, but the real pokemon wouldn't change for me

yeah, I mean if you search 16 bit or 32bit difference, it should return a 16bit or 32bit address, not a 8bit address

anyway, i don't know how the values in zelda work, i'm just happy it does work :)

Here is moonjump for Majora's Mask 3D USA

[Hold X+A Moonjump]
DD000000 00000401
19475BFA 0000CB40

I put X+A because sometimes you might wanna use an item.

yeah good idea :D i'll change my activator too. i'll find the OoT JPN code also

I'm not exactly sure what is going on, but it seems that the code is not static, I didn't check the code till now but it seems the address is dynamic. Before it 09475BFA now it's 0905C4BA

hmm well, it worked for the guy who found it and also me for OoT usa, so i would suspect it is static.
and my mm code works after a reboot, but sure, maybe it is dynamic. what game/region?
if MM, maybe you have an update/don't have an update?

Well I extracted it from my cart and I don't have it connected to the internet, but it does say v1.1. How do I go on to remove updates? Mine is USA MM3D

EDIT: Seems that the game is pre-installed with the update. Guess need to browse the internet for a v1.0 version.

if the address changes then it might change when you entered a new area (if you didn't install any updates)

Was in the same area, different addresses when you start in Clock town.

the ocarina codes didn't work for me too when I manually entered the cheat with the Cheat Editor
and it works after reboot with a cheat file, so either manually entered the code doesn't work or it is really dynamic, I only tested it for a min

So much for trying to give Mario infinate health during battles! :rofl2:
looks fun, you edited the value too high or somethin'? hahaha

@Errorjack - i recommend to always make codes for the latest version, don't bother removing the update/finding 1.0 :)

No the Ocarina one worked fine, I quit the game and redid it, same place. Majora's Mask on the other hand is all over the places. I'm thinking because it's been updated, things moved around.

Fuck updates, I love my games OG out of the package 1.0 for glitches. I don't need Nintendo telling me to not do this. Also if it was an online game, sure, latest updates are a must. Majora's Mask is offline, so to me, 1.0 is ideal. I got 1.0 and I'll try it to see if the update makes it dynamic. Too tired so I'll try tomorrow.
