Hacking Gateway and SC DSTwo Switching

I know how to switch between using either, but am confused on something... I have the GW installer on my DSTwo, but how do I backup 3DS saves and games? Doesn't the Gateway card need to be inserted? How do I go about doing this?

The GW Installer that you put on your DSTwo is only used to install the DS Profile exploit. What firmware are you on?

If you're on anything above 4.5, it's useless to you

EmuNAND is on latest and SysNAND is on 4.x

I keep getting error when trying to backup save or game... Do I launch gateway menu in emunand, or when is 4.x sysnand?

"FFFFFFFD" when game is inserted when try to back it up

Here is what I did:
1. Installed GW exploit with DSTwo
2. Take out DSTwo, insert gateway, and launch ds profile exploit
3. Once in GW menu, remove GW card and put 3DS game in
4. Try either save backup or game backup, get error...

Note: SysNAND is Ver 4.2.0-9U
