The best part about all of this is the retards like you that will get tricked into buying cheap Chinese bootlegs that wont work a week after release.

These guys know their target audience gotta give them that.

buying a 3ds is not anything they get better of, just nintendo :P

im not THAT retarded xd

It is said on site that it supports all roms that are dumped, meaning it supports all regions. Plus nobody can say for sure that it does not work unless they don't try it. We must wait.

That means we must do a rom modification like we can do Wii ISO region change, so we can chage region of rom to region that matches our 3DS
You can't edit roms though, if you do that this device won't be able to run them anymore.

Without any kind of keys to sign the modified version, you will not be able to run the games. Otherwise the AP functions would be a lot different and we'd probably have some kind of homebrew scene very active..

Their website has now been updated with at least 1 reseller in asia.

**edit**
Already mentioned.

Has anyone check the Whois database on gateway-3ds? I was just curious about their location... It is set up in Australia... Usually it's China but its good to see others steping up :D like I mentioned before there using an EU system and luigis mansion 2 which is an European game as well

Edit: just because the domain was registered in Queensland does not mean that's their actual location but who knows... I'm just curious that's all XD

I just checked supercard.sc and their based in WA, US. It could be just the designer who set it up and lives there. Well this is off topic anyways lol sorry

Domains are separate from the actual servers, import shops use this to get a .com all the time even though they may be 100% located in China.

In this case, the host appears to be using "Piradius Net" as their ISP in "Malaysia, Asia". That's as specific as I got.

i tried to search the thread but, no information that this plays ds roms? i would have thought that would be a feature on the website... maybe they just haven't listed it yet? i hope it does support ds roms also :) if it DOES, then i hope it supports dsi roms...

With the information we have up until now, the chances of it playing DS roms are very slim.

I was actually excited thinking it was going to be ship from Queensland haha but yeah nvm then :(
I haven't heard from them. I'm sure there getting so many emails and 99% of them are just a waste of space and time.

They will only answer to those who want to buy in big quantities - if they see their emails given that they must be getting a lot of questions and everyone trying to buy a card off of them - hmm noo you have to buy from a resaler they won't sell you just 1 card so don't spam them with emails like that and for questions I'm sure they won't be answering any either at least not anytime soon... Has anyone been lucky enough to get an email back from them?

(In response to some of what has been mentioned on the front page)

Am I the only person that sees a big problem with taking anything said by GaryOPA seriously? This is the same person who is closely tied to all of the reDRM shenanigans on PS3 (TrueBlue, etc). If he's involved, this has to be bad news for everyone else.

If Gary is involved, run, don't walk, to the nearest exit.

what was the problem with true blue? I ask from ignorance.

The video is rather uninteresting and unimpressive. (Piracy, *yawn*) However if the statement about the "game manager" is true, that must mean custom code, which is mildly interesting. My guess though is some sort of miscommunication/mistranslation/blatant lie involved in that part.

Basically, the PS3 could only have CFW up to 3.55 for a while. Any firmware past that had to be official. Games that required any FW over 3.55 couldn't be played on a PS3 with CFW then. Some hackers figured out how to decrypt games which required 3.55+ and re-encrypt them for 3.55. However, instead of just releasing the method/tools to do it, they instead re-encrypted the games themselves, and did so using a separate set of keys which were included in the True Blue dongle. So anyone wanting to play those games on CFW had to get a TB dongle. Many were annoyed that the hackers who figured it out sold their discoveries to the team making the dongle.

why they dont give more informations about this thing, i wanna buy it now!!

Who gives a FUCK. TrueBlue actually worked, and guess what, if it weren't for it we wouldn't even have the current CFW we have since they figured out what keys it was using to begin with. It's not even hard to figure out these things and turn them into something better, it just takes time and money.

Also GaryOPA is an amazing individual, he's been on the watch for EVERY kind of working hack, not just duds, if there's anything that he doesn't even know what to say about he clearly labels it as Rumor in the announcement post as you can see every now and then.

It would be nice if somebody made a product like this but it included some sort switch that could change it into a a cartridge that played old DS roms

I'm a bit confuse by what people are saying still and the message from GaryOpa.

If there is a game manager that they just hadn't finished that actually runs on the 3ds itself, then wouldn't it have to be using an exploit and custom code, making this a homebrew device? Also it should, in fact, allow region-free gaming if that is true.
