Gmail flagged it malicious because RHS foolishly forges the "from:" line to reflect the "to:" line. It looks like it's from the sender, setting off phishing heuristics. It's not a concern.

The 22nd. Our statuses were updated at the same time, and they still had preorder slots available on August 27th, possibly days beyond. I don't think there's any doubt that our orders will ship tomorrow. I just got a "new order confirmation" (though my card was charged on the 22nd), so next comes the tracking number. They're actively processing orders right now, so they may generate the USPS labels later tonight. Someone mentioned end of business being at 5PM, but this is not an ordinary business with a regular schedule.

Edit: Status just changed again to "new." This is just how they're processing orders. I only mention it so no one thinks it's only happened to them.

Yea, but New was the status when I very first preordered it. That still kinda brings credence to my "2nd batch" theory.

EDIT: My "order has been received" e-mail has been resent, again, word for word, as if my order was started over...

Umm... Your theory is as dead as humorism. The quote by RHS that I pasted above in large font was a direct reply, sent tonight, to my inquiry about my order status being changed from partial to pre-order. After that it changed to "new" after I received an order confirmation. Just for fun I'm going to post it again.

"We changed the status description to make it more clear for customers. Your order will be shipping tomorrow.

Sincerely,
Real Hot Stuff - USA"

Sounds quite definitive to me. This is also in line with what I was told a week ago when I asked if I'd ordered soon enough to be included in the first batch. I was told yes. If all this isn't enough for you, I don't think you'll be able to believe you're getting your pre-order until the Gateway box is in your hands.

Edit: And as I finished this very post, I received my tracking number. The label has been purchased and it will enter the postal system tomorrow.

Just to preemptively assuage any possible concern (not just yours, b17bomber), when you buy a label with USPS, it's not immediately active even though you receive a tracking number. It takes time to show up in the system. Don't freak out just because it says your tracking number doesn't exist yet. It should reach anyone in the continental US within 2-3 days once the packages reach the origin sort facility tomorrow.

I edited my last post to address tracking numbers not showing up. It's normal. Take it from someone who has shipped hundreds (maybe thousands) of packages using USPS.

Hahah no worries. Bit of Christmas eve syndrome for many of us.
 
I got the shipment notification too. Seems like they just paid for it to be shipped though, it's not actually shipped yet though. I live close to NJ so i could have it by Friday :) That'd be perfect due to a three day weekend for me

So I'm guessing I was one of the lucky ones whose shipment got out today (I also received a tracking number that obviously doesn't work yet since it hasn't even been a day); whereas the rest will be gotten out, I am assuming, tomorrow.

You weren't lucky. They began processing preorders tonight. All orders are physically going out tomorrow. They're simply buying and printing the labels tonight, preparing the packages, marking orders as shipped. This is standard practice for smaller stores, eBay sellers, Amazon marketplace merchants, etc. They'll be in the custody of the postal service tomorrow.

Ah well, either way a status of shipped is 100% confirmation that I made it as part of the first batch -- since some other people commented that their status was changed to "pre-ordered" I figured there was some sort of differentiation other than, "All orders will be shipped tomorrow." Since mine was changed to shipped, not pre-ordered, I was assuming that was the difference.

In any case, with any luck it'll arrive by Friday! *crosses fingers*

I wish people would read my last few posts in their entirety. I really have detailed the RHS situation in full already.

They changed all the partials to pre-order when they began processing tonight. The preorders changed to new, and the new is now changing over to shipped. The changes happen quickly so it was easy to miss the "preorder" and "new" status. No one is getting screwed out of the first batch. This morning, the product page showed they had stock available. This suggests everyone who preordered got in on the first batch, as did a handful of people who ordered this morning before all stock was sold.

Anyway, I'm out. Rest assured:

ALL RHS preorders will physically ship out WEDNESDAY to ALL who preordered.
 
OMG, this USPS gay guy is playing with my nerf !!! Out for delivery since 10Am in the morning and it is now 10:36PM and still he did not show up :angry: . Their are just 20-30 blocks from me. My patient has limit !!! :whip:
And It took them 4 days for shipping from NY to MD ( Unbelievable :blink: )
 
Anybody received theirs from NDS-card via HK air mail? Mine still says "tracking data not available" despite being supposedly sent 27th Aug.

Same as you, nothing here yet. Hopefully it will arrive in a week or two I guess.. On a different note, I have previously ordered some batteries from dealextreme and it takes around 4 to 6 weeks for the batteries to be delivered. Dealextreme uses chinapost, so I dont know if it is similar as hongkongpost or not.

- since everyone has been getting gateway cards missing one sticker on the back side im afraid it'll happen to everyone else who ordered from rhs.
- I live in philly and can someone confirm this: I should receive my package on or before friday since I live nearby? I start school on monday and i was hoping to at least get a day or two with my gateway, seriously :(

Psst, tracking numbers don't update until several hours later! :mellow: Just because a tracking number is provided doesn't mean it will work straight off the bat. As it's probably USPS, the first tracking information will either not be there until tomorrow morning, or it's Electronic Shipping Info Received. Since you live near them, transit time will be one or two days, MAYBE three in the case that my geographic memory sucks. Be patient, it should be there by the weekend, unless there is a delay on their end!

So it's gonna be one blind run until it gets to me. If it gets here at all...

Why is this the constant topic of thought, have any resellers actually been proved to rip customers off ?? Apart from fact alot always lie about stock etc to secure your oder etc... Shipping has and always will be variable, People need to learn a little Patience......

More like the past ten pages has been the same people whining like children going BAWWWW I ORDERED FROM REAL HOT STUFF ON THE 21ST AND THEY JUST GOT STOCK TODAY BUT DIDN'T SHIP OUT. Since when has RHS steered anyone wrong? All I am really seeing is entitled children who seem to lack an understanding in patience. Or, the Mod Chip Central site, which everyone seems to think is a joke just because their shipping estimate was a day off, which said users turn around and file reports for refund? Come on.

It's probably the expectation of "I have paid, so I deserve the best service".

While it's not entirely wrong, all of these resellers are suffering from high influx of purchases, e-mails and whatever not.
A lot of existing systems, including how the post and tracking and shipment are handled, always had a certain lag time to it.

If they really, really would cheat you, you probably wouldn't have heard much good about them on gbaTEMP, for you to even make the purchase at the first place.
