Psst, psst, your signature is too big. It can't be more than 500x150 in dimensions or greater than 80kB in file size. :P

whatever ill just remove it. Btw is there a good disc imager for ubuntu? Id rather not use a command based program if I don't have to.

I just need one question answered before I'm convinced.

Can I reuse the same MicroSD card for my games?

I believe I saw some one who said they received a unit from modchipcentral, so ill try that, thanks for the heads up too :yaysp:

Does anyone know of a good disk imager for ubuntu? My windows 7 partition is all screwed up so i cant use win32 disk imager :/

I did check my spam folder and it is not there. The last time I got an email from him was on the same day I purchase from him "bengbengxiao @ gmail.com" with the message of "NDS-Card has received your payment".

edit: I emailed bengbengxiao about not receiving the "fimware confirmation" and I gave him my firmware that my 3ds is on.

Got a reply from him today and they are getting a second batch and will mail the Gateway to me.

Please be patient for 2-3 more days.
The first branch has been shipped out.
Today we will receive another new branch, after shipping out we will email the tracking number to you.
Sorry for inconvenience.
Gateway is so popular that we could not get them in time.
So sorry...

You can use 'dd' with the command line: (might need to run as sudo?)
Code:
dd if=/home/user/file.3ds of=/dev/mmcblk0 bs=1M

you will need to change:
if=/home/user/file.3ds = input file - location of the 3ds rom file.
of=/dev/mmcblk0 = output device - location your card reader

using the wrong output device will cause data loss

Is there a way to do it without using the terminal? I'd rather not risk messing it up.

Yeah, but its only one game at a time.
Speaking of micro sd cards, would you recommend buying one 16gb micro sd card that should be used for all games ( just switch roms when done with the first ) or would you recommend buying multiple sd cards? And did the gateway team mention anything about fixing this 1 rom per sd card issue? I dont want to end up with 10 sd cards and then a new update pops out, ill have no use for all of them :p

Well, it depends on how you play games. Do you suffer from piracy syndrome, and switch the game you're playing multiple times, or do you stick to one at a time?

If you need multiple cards, I would have one 16GB card and wait for there to be a good sale (Black Friday or whatnot) and then buy a bunch of 4 or 8GB cards.

Me2, I've pre-ordered 2days later, but the blame is on the distributor of Gateway3DS. Every day they tell another day to ship!

First they say last week, then monday (today) but there is still no tracking information on fb.

I have absolutely no idea why it takes so long. Chinese Shops seem to get new units every day, so what's the reason?
For sure!!!!
...now two way, cancel the order if it's possible... Or wait.... Again!
