Anyway, got to ask, I am looking for MicroSD cards right now, does it matter which size? I was thinking of getting a 8GB as minimum, can I order a 16GB/32GB too? Or won't Gateway be able to handle that?

Also I am bit confused regarding Micro SD cards. Some say just Micro SD and others say SDHC. Is there any difference here?

microSDHC are just improved, higher-capacity microSD cards. If you want to get a 16/32GB card, I'm pretty sure you'll get a SDHC because SD doesn't go that high. And if I recall correctly, Devin used a 16GB card just fine with Gateway. So it should be good.
 
Change of plans. He had 2 for sale but.some asshole came in and said he wanted both for 50 each. I had to give him.a sob story and.say.I.would pay 50 also for him to.hold one. Hopefully someone doesn't come in and offer 60 or more before I get there. Don't think my little heart could take it T-T

SDHC is all cards over 2GB. There's nothing "improved".

first time I checked since over one year on gbatemp and than this.

We are all waiting for! The only german shop (ships from germany) vartis hasn't it in stock.

Actually no european shop has it in stock right now. Only chinese and US-Shops until now. :(
 
Hello ordered gateway card. Wondered one question is sdxc above 64 gb cards combatible with this card?
Searching forums and 3ds supports sdxc formatting fat 32 with special programs.

Maybe that program can be used to gateway too to support sdxc is that possible have anyone tested?

Isn't it still one game per SD card? Why would you want to use a card that big?

I paid for the lowest shipping, and it was shipped yesterday and received today via UPS Standard. I ordered the first day preorders were opened.

How did you make payment (since they don't accept credit cards). From their ordering details, position in line was not secure until payment was received. I sent an interac payment to them the same day.
 
Just tried my unit out, works great thus far. Loaded DKC.

Tip for non-windows users, you can also use the program dd to image your cards.

sudo dd if=/u01/v-dkcr3.3ds of=/dev/mmcblk0 bs=1M

All I will say is that I paid them ASAP and I even confirmed with them if I was going to get my item shipped that day. Either way, avoid purchasing at modchipcentral. If they can't be honest from the get go and need to resort to run-around details and no refunds, they shouldn't be in business.

I contacted them earlier and they gave me some spiel about how they got 50 units a day or two ago and how it's not the one they were supposed to receive and now that they're getting 300 units but that doesn't add up because he told me the item hadn't arrived although he told me it would arrive this Wednesday which has come and gone. Same thing happened Thursday and now it's Friday and I've got nothing. I doubt UPS made the mistake of not delivering to their location for three days straight.


EDIT: Alright, that's it. Seriously fuck these guys. They now changed their pre-order description and now claiming they were only getting 50 this week and how they're getting the other half of their shipment at a later date; that wasn't there before. I actually just realized they've now set it to the next Wednesday. I bet they're going to play on misunderstandings now.

Just picked up the 3DS And its shocking to say the least...

Due to the aforementioned asshole in my previous post, i had to buy the second of the 2 3DS' the shop had for $50. Whoever previously owned this 3DS should be put in jail. This is the first time i've ever seen a regular 3DS and I nearly laughed. How the hell do people over the age of 7 cope with its small size? Glad I went with the XL



For those of you familiar with eBay's condition protocol, (New, Like New, Used, For parts not working ) this 3DS should be listed as "Brutal Rape Victim". As soon as i touched it i heard the ASPCA Song that plays when you see mistreated animals inside my head. No Stylus, No charger, No Love... at all. Cosmetic wear all over as if it belonged to a Colombian drug lord who used it to beat people who owed him money. This thing literally must have been dropped Hundreds of times both closed and open on its face. Dirty smudges that could pass for cum stains (I didn't wanna check) covered each corner.
The Analog Stick has a yellowish greenish tint. How the hell is that possible? Minor paint chips and other deformaties but still (shockingly) in one piece. Games sometimes do not read (gotta blow in it ) so most likely the contacts are dirty (not surprising). Oh, and it was on Firmware 6.1 so there goes my gateway plan. As for the SD card, whoever owned this owns every freaking demo known to man on the eshop. I check the activity log which showed this person only officially owned 2 games... Angry birds trilogy and Pokemon White ( A DS game mind you). The rest were demo's and netflix. Who THE FUCK BUYS A 3DS FOR NETFLIX AND ANGRY BIRDS! I feel like putting up wanted signs to find out. About 150 hours logged into it in its entire life span (which by its appearance should be older them me). Even if this person bought this at launch it shouldnt look like this. User Name is Bubzy. It most likely belonged to a fat woman because that's the face i see in the "Face Raider" Game banner.

The only real upside to this thing is that it came with 3 games, Epic mickey, White version and a DS naruto game which im keeping all and selling this abomination on ebay for profit. Hopefully someone puts it down so it no longer has to suffer. Also guess, what? The asshole who bought the other better 3DS i was originally after (which knowing my luck was probably on 4.5) is selling it on CL for 110 Along with the angry birds.
