Hacking Gateway 3.0 : "Ultra"

Quick question.

I'm on a on firmware 4.5 and everything was working well. I decided to give the new GW 3.0 a shot, and everything is working just fine actually.
But what I wanted to know was if it's possible for me to downgrade back to GW 2.7, just because it's easier for me to boot into gateway mode using the DS profile exploit. And if is it is possible, can anyone please explain how it can SAFELY be done?

The reason for that is that Smash Bros. eats up all available RAM on your 3DS, even the internal running OS is overwritten. -- As such it has to crash back to plain system, nothing can be done about that, even on an original untouched 3DS using the original Smash Bros. cartridge, you will notice it does a quick reboot of your 3DS when exiting the game.

it's possible to prevent this by launching another app which forces it to close without restarting the 3ds.

I assumed 3.0 could still be loaded with the DS profile exploit, so that 4.x users don't unnecessarily lose that convenience, but can it not?

Emunand doesn't seem to be working for me without a Gateway card.

Do I need one or can I boot emunando without it? All I get is a black screen.

On higher firmwares also? I only tried the browser launch. This is so awesome. Now I will get one for my kid! They probably just multiplied their customer base by 100 fold.

NO

DS profile exploit works only in 4.X even with the new update 3.0

I quite like the browser exploit since you can just bookmark it or not change the page. Boot browser and wait for it to do it's thing. Bam in GW mode.

That was a derpy-derp move on my part, I posted here without even trying that....
Anyway, I can confirm that the DS Profile exploit method for booting into gateway mode still works.

Because the webkit 'Browser Exploit' one is already patched by big 'N' in their 9.3 release.

The Mii Maker one is (another story) best to use it for other things, and for more protected New 3DS models.

Wondering what if 1 day gateway decides not to support the card anymore and shut down its server? And what if that site got DoS? Will that means gateway will be totally useless except for ppl with 4.x version?

Yeah exactly, this was another reason I wanted to make sure the DS Profile method still worked.
