Received and email response back from the gateway team in response to my inquiry about the release of 2.0. This is what I got back from them so just be patient everyone

The wait shouldn't be very long now. We can't give a date yet as we want to make sure that just like our past firmware, this new one, and the ones coming after, are 100 working with all consoles we support. This takes a lot of intensive testing.
Once testing is complete, we will release the firmware, and of course you will be informed.

Um, no offense, but is this the first time you guys have waited for an update for something?

Be thankful they've proved they will update in the past. I remember with the HTC Flyer (a 2011 android tablet), HTC promised updates and all we got was one bug fix update.

Also, ETAs are a no-no for software/hacking in general. When major companies give ETAs, it's usually because the product is 99% complete and the next step is just announcing it.

When it's a small group of people trying to hack a console to allow something that wasn't originally, ETAs are useless because they can change every day.

I think they will wait until new firmware hits now with NNID & MiiVerse Added. Nintendo have said its about 1month away for new 3ds update

Emulate system NAND seems to be a delicate matter... let them test it enough before they release it. ;) I prefer to read complains about release dates instead of bricked 3DSs, don't you? :yaynds:

Might be a stupid question, as I don't understand much about how the nand emulation works, but will it emulate a new 3ds system, which you can update? And if so, will you be able to migrate an existing 3DS to the emulated one?

No, because it emulates your 3DS NAND.

Found this in the Official Gateway Forum

Aloha WEy from PS3Crunch Forum

Hi, I've been trying to make the Circle Pad Pro work with games loaded thru Gateway with random results, depending on the game I've tried.

Might be good to mention that my setup is a 3DS XL on Firm 4.5, Gateway on Firmware 1.2 and Circle Pad Pro XL Japan version.

I know there are not too many games that support it; though it makes a huge different for those who do are compatible. here is a list of a few games compatible with CPP:

Monster Hunter Tri G [11]
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy (Japanese version only)
Resident Evil: Revelations
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D
Kid Icarus: Uprising
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
Dynasty Warriors VS
Nano Assault EX (Japan Version Only?)
Samurai Warriors Chronicles 2nd

Of those, i've tried with two using Circle Pad Pro and Gateway. Having these results:

- Nano Assault EX (Japan Version Only?)

No difference found, looks like console did not recognize the circle pad pro. The game works great on Gateway but only with default 3DS controls

- Kid Icarus: Uprising

Right circle pad duplicates the left one work. Z triggers duplicate the originals (ZL works as L and ZR as R)

Anyone had a better experience ?

And do you think we might get support for this periferic in the future ?

Tnks!

But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.
