The adjustable weights in the G500 helped because of my preference of a denser mouse, because I use a high movement speed (for less actual hand movement) and high DPI setting. I never did adjust the DPI between things, I fine tuned it for one that felt right and that I forced to be universal through all apps.
There aren't a lot of laser/gaming mice that have adjustable weight. I paid US$57 for the G500 early this year and US$86 for the Naga to replace it when it wasn't good enough for the competititve tournament-style gaming I was doing. But the Naga doesn't have adjustable weights, I got it because it's notoriously smallish according to men. And it has a butt-ton of ..... different buttons.
