Hacking Games Doesn't start Gateway 3DS

I bought a 3DS XL today and Gateway 3DS , the 3DS was on 6.2.0 and I loaded the website exploit and everything that was explained on how to setup GW3DS Ultra 3.3 I followed it carefully but when ever I try to load any game (rom) it either gives me an error or black screen and doesn't start , and I cannot use the DS exploit since I am not on 4.5 ,I tried formatting , re-doing the whole thing , formating again , searching for solutions but nothing sems to work , I am leaving updating emunand as a last solution so please I am begging you help

fake micro sd card in your gateway red card?
try only copy 1 small game ,1GB or smaller, to the microsd
or try a different microsd card

I did try my brother's and it was the same , I am using 32 GB fat32 Kingstone one , it was perfectly fine on my Mobile phone and I don't really think it might be the problem

You didn't need to buy a gateway card anyways :/ but to answer your questions,make sure you formatted for Emunand and put a simple rom like super Mario 3D land and press select to see if the rom shows up if that does not work you either have a fake gateway card or a fake MicroSD card. Format the MicroSD card in the exfat format and put one rom on it. Also can you even enter the Gateway Menu?

The rom do actually Show up , it gives the error after the game is actually started
and yes as I said , I can fully load the emunand

What firmware is your Emunand on and what game are you trying run?
Format the Microsd card into the exFAT format
put it in your Red card
Load the gateway Menu without the red card in
put the red card in while in the gateway menu and run the diagnostic test did it fail anything?

Emunand is on 6.2.0 and alright I am going to do as you said and run the diagnostic tests and post the results and the game(s) I am trying to get it working is Dream drop distance and smash bros. , DDD is giving me a Hold to turn off error and smash is black screen , but I am trying it with DDD most pf the time

OK either the MicroSD card is getting corrupt when you unplug it after placing the rom (you can safely eject it from your PC to avoid this) or the game your trying to run requires a higher firmware so on your 3DS (Not New 3DS)

Enter your Emunand like usual
Go to system settings and confirm it says GW3D6.2.0
DONT LEAVE SYSTEM SETTINGS!
go to other settings then system update and update over wifi
this will not update your Sysnand it will update your Emunand
if your super paranoid you can always make a NAND backup using the gateway launcher

They require higher firmware than 6.x update your emunand and run them from there

This is why you were told to try Mario 3D Land, as it has a very low firmware requirement.

Moral of the story Update my Emunand , alright I am doing this

I recommend yelling at your 3ds and tell it to take it hard from the Gateway. That may get its attention.

I swear I literally did this a while ago

smash needs 8.x+ emunand and Dream drop is a big file size game
format the microsd and put a small size game like any Virtual Console or 3dware game and see if it works

My guess it's crypto related issue. If you can, update emunand to 9.9. Like the others already said, try a really old game from 2011, use 3dsdb.com to find a really small 256mb or 512mb rubbish game to test.

I updated and tested Mario Kart 7 and it worked , it's 1 GB game .... so the problem is game size ??

No you simply didn't have a high enough firmware to run the titles you were trying to load but now that your on 9.9 you have 100% compatability

Dream drop distance only requires firmware 3.0
now, you could try adding more games to the micro sd card, if the last game on the game list fails then it's mostly likely to be a fake micro sd

Mario Kart 7 and smash bros. worked and I am going to try devil survivors 2 record breaker now
