Hacking Games asking for updates I already installed

Games can have multiple IDs depending on region and stuff. Make sure the update files are for the same id as the game files.
It might be as simple as you installed update files that isn't the same as the game id.
Happened to me with dead cells.

are you sure the update files you have downloaded are for the same version of the game you already have installed.

Turns out they weren't. I found proper updates and all works fine. Thnx to all. Thread can be closed

Thank you for this. v 1.7.0 asks for update, I updated with 1.7.1 and now the game launched without asking for update.
