"Girl Gamers" (or "Grrrl Gamers" if you like) are just the XX version of this: desperately sad and sadly desperate. Nobody cares that you're here to "pwn noobs." Just play the video game and get on with your life.

Not to mention that the people who have to advertise themselves as "girl gamers" are usually complete shit (like Team Siren, with its 60% win/loss ratio, "Failure is not an option" and all).

I don't know. I mean, I like video games, but they're, you know, video games. It's a hobby. It's nice if the person you're dating shares it, but at the end of the day, so what? If you hold games on such a high pedestal, you're probably not ready for any sort of serious relationship anyway. Instead of seeking out "gamer girls," maybe you base your search on more substantive qualities. Just a thought.
