GameFAQs FINALLY has an edit feature

[Feels Good Man]

The following changes have been made to the boards today:

Post Editing:
-This feature will initially be restricted to Level 32 and higher. This level will be reevaluated after a few weeks and most likely lowered.
-You can edit your post for up to one hour after it is posted or edited and up to a maximum of five times total.
-Posts can be deleted at any time before they are archived, but once you delete a post you cannot edit it.
-All of your edits are publicly visible on the Message Detail screen and thus posting blatant violations and quickly editing them will still result in harsh moderation.
-"Trap" edits that are designed to cause other users to violate the Terms of Use will be dealt with in an especially harsh manner.

Clickable URLs:
-To enable clickable URLs, simply go to "Manage Account" -> "Modify Your Message Board Display Settings".

Automatic Signature:
-Your signature will now automatically be appended to your post and will no longer show up in the box where you type up your message.
-For now, your signature will still be stored as a part of your message, meaning that you can edit your post and be able to modify your signature as well. This will be changing in the future.

CSS Changes:
-CSS changes have been made to prevent the overflowing of text. This should allow the more narrow stylesheets to display posts correctly without the text disappearing at the end of long lines.
-Variable names have been changed on the message posting form. Third party add-ons will need to be updated to use the new names.

You know how redundant it is though? If anyone posts something that violates the rules, they can just delete it and repost, rather than edit a post.
But no, most people will actually edit instead, and trap themselves in their mistake.

It's actually a REALLY mean thing to do.

You can still get modded even after you delete your post though. It's actually happened to a few people before.

Its good to see they are updating the forums, even if they are still way behind the ball in terms of most forums. I just dont see why they can't play catch up since they have a huge userbase. Sure the users are generally idiots but its still a large amount of people.

Well, it's about time. I do like the format as is though, it's very easy to read. It's also great for those stuck with dial-up. Not me...but when I did have it, GameFAQs was great in that respect.
