A nice fat GC memory card and some way to get data on it from your PC,

A case mod or mini DVDR's and a viper chip if you can find one.

It's not easy as far as I know to do on the GC, as the Wii is. (Wii being nice it has a built in SD slot and most PC's do too these days.)

I am not a GC mod expert but I think that would get your started. Maybe look into something called Gekko they updated it for the Wii but I remember it being out on the GC too.

Just a quick edit:

This might get you started a little better... plus I spelled it right this time *face palm*

There's also the SD Media Launcher by Datel. Kind of expensive, but it works, in case you can't find an SD or USB Gekko.

The nice thing about GC hombrew is that some projects (like the GBA, SNES and NES emulators) are still released for both the Wii and the GC.

If your GC can't spin discs you might be better off with a modchip; the media launcher uses a disc to load the data from the SD card. A new GC would be a better idea.
