Hello, i have a gameboy camea and an everdrive gb, i want to know if it is possible to trade the gameboy camera photos off of the gameboy camera and put them onto the gameboy camera software running on the everdrive. Any help would be appreciated.
The everdrive, being SD based, makes those a harder proposition though. Also if your aspiration is to run the software on a flash cart you might find yourself needing to hack the software to ignore the fact it can't speak to the camera (you might not but 99% of the time anything in the consumer world that has extra hardware on board tends to want it to be present to boot up), and I don't know if that has been done to it yet. That said a search a reckons the camera game/software has a link cable function so two GBs, a cable and a flash cart running the software so as to then fish the photos off the SD card, or play with any onboard filters if that is your chosen path, would be a viable method if the flash cart can be coaxed into booting up the software.
i have got the software booting, i have no idea how to actually transfer the images off the official hardware and onto my software, after this i can use the methods described in the top two links.
I don't believe there is a way to transfer images using the EverDrive GB, at least not one I've found.
I'm able to backup my Game Boy Camera save with one of those memory backup carts, and then I can restore that save to a USB 64M Smart Card and transfer the save from that to my PC.
I've tried restoring the save to the EverDrive GB instead, but just doesn't work.
Funnily enough, you can backup Game Boy games and saves using an EverDrive-64 and a Transfer Pak.
