Hey guys!
I ordered my SX PRO a week ago, so before i get started i wanted to ask you guys if i have my emuNAND with games on it, let’s say FIFA .in .xci format. I want to update the game in the sysNAND (for safety reasons), will the game even be in my sysNAND, and if yes can I update the game there, and will it be updated in the emuNAND?

Thanks

Hi there man, unfortunately you can't do this way, because you must keep the two things separate. You must proceed so cause they share the same Nintendo folder and this will be messing up everything with issues,so you have to unlink them. I recommend to : keep your sysnand in original stock firmware and update emunand to latest. With this setup you shouldn't be in trouble. Otherwise you can update both to latest fmw, enjoying legit and online in sys and backup(offline mandatory) on the "other side". Ok? Have fun with it! Hail from Rome ;)

Oh okay i guess i understand ^^
Thank you man:lol:

OK, so the best thing is store backup games in SD card and boot only in emunand?
Sure this is an option, but you could also store it in the nand. Obviously use ONLY emunand for backup games ;) in the original nand you will use legit and online.so, you can keep the two things separated and avoid ban from Nintendo.

Thank yoy geralt. And what about boot SX OS from SD card? What is best, use emunand or SD card?
To boot Sx os, you have to put the "boot.dat" file on the sd card and launch relative payload. Using the latest version features "emunand" creation. Once you have created emunand you can store games in this "shadowed" partition or in SD card like you'd do on real nand. In my opinion this latest version works really well, without issues or crashing/freezing for any games and further more gives you the chance to wait on lower firmware for a better cfw solution and, at the same time to enjoy newest games with "emunand" ;)

Thank you very much geralt! Just last a few things.
1. Emunand has to remain offline so here fw update must be done strictly offline
2. I have some purchased games at the moment in my non modded switch. Do I have to remove as much of them until they occupy less of 15gb in order to let sx os correctly create the 15gb emunand?

All correct?

You're welcome bro ;) yeah, in emunand you must keep everything offline, is mandatory or you'll have an instant ban! To update offline you can use choidujourNx.
You have to "erase" temporarily that games in your original nand, once you create emunand (you can choose various sizes but 15 approx. Both is best option) you have to factory reset your nand to separate it from the "shadow" nand (emu) cause they share the same Nintendo folder and this will cause you trouble with games stability, crash and issues. Best things is using two SD card, one for legit and other for emunand. You can follow many tutorial on YouTube to understand better this procedure, I made it so to get around ;)

oh ok, i thought that emunand was stored in system memory, not in external sd card. Anyway, going to look about those thing on youtube, thank you man

You got it right, Is not stored on sd memory, it's like if the Sx os split the nand in two, to say in poor words ;)

ok perfect. And the first thing i wanna do is backup original nand before creating emunand. Can i do it from a sx os menu, or do i need another tool?

Sure, it is very very very important to first backup nand!! Use latest "HEKATE" app, there are plenty of guide floating around internet, and it is a reliable tool to do it. Once you stored safe your nand backup, proceed with Sx os and its stuff ;)
