Hacking Game update not applying to game

Hey all, got a weird issue that multiple searches have not helped me solve. I'm getting back into my Switch after a few months of ignoring it, and wanted to update some of the games too. These all went fine except for Dead Cells. It's currently sitting at 1.0.2 on the system and there's a 4.1.0 patch available. I've installed that through tinfoil, lithium, and goldleaf and they all give the same issue, it creates another square for Dead Cells on the main menu except this one has a cloud symbol on top and says I need the game for it to work. The 1.0.2 game still works just fine.

Any ideas or similar situations that you can point me towards? Thanks in advance.

Your update NSP probably doesn't match the region for the Dead Cells game you already have installed. Make sure the title ID matches.

Alternatively, you can use HBG or TheBigPP to automatically download and install the update.

from what I've seen, a game's last three digits are 000 and an update is 800. backtrack from that, the alphanumeric should match for everything but the last three digits if the update and game match. I've seen no logical pattern with dlc.
