Anno is a really good strategy game. The combat for it isn't great, but it's very close to games like Age of Empires and uses the touch screen very well. Definitely one of the better DS strategy games.

Fighting? Anime 2D fighters are plenty... two Bleach 2D fighters and one Katekyo Htman Reborn fighter, dunno an others.

Action/ Adventure? HTheres Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime.... You adventure kinda like in LoZ, but no swords, except when you use slime knights. But there are these wacky and fun tank battles, not really adventure game fare, but very fun.

The games im looking for cannot be covered with umbrella terms as done in this thread but ill give a description.

Im looking for games that have:

-lots of different weapons/items/creatures you can obtain with various levels of rarity.
-I would like to be able see the weapon in combat.
-Graphics must be decent, i dont mind 2d stuff as long as the pictures look cool, no dodgy poorly defined 3D models
-Leveling up system or something similar.
-Cool combat system with diverse attack animations.
-Content outside story line such as coin fountain, blacksmith, gambling in Golden Sun or auction houses/turf in Final Fantasy.
-Also mickey mouse stuff puts me off ie Kingdom hearts unless the game is that awesome (FFTA)

Examples of what im talking about:

Final Fantasy Tactics series
Pokemon
Dragon Quest series(to a lesser extent as the combat system fails, with minimal difference in attack animations and also the weapons you obtain cant be seen on the overall character picture or during combat.)
