Additional Info: I'm looking for an RPG where you get assigned a lot of side quests. For some reason I really love that. Anyway I've already tried all FF and DQ games so don't worry about those. Turn based, action, or strat games are all ok.

You could try FFCC RoF... its not as epic as EoT I know but it has the same factors of customization and has good story.

And of course, the latest hyped KH 179 days

(no customization sorry... but its a good ARPG)

Phantasy Star Zero too (Only character creation.... no armor customization in-game [or i'm wrong?] and weapons have different looks)

Wheres Chrono Trigger DS!!! Its a great classic ported to the DS. You can't go wrong with its RPG-ness and great story

Oops, sorry, I really didn't think of IoH as a Simulation, I thought of it as more of an RPG, along with Rune Factory, which is more an RPG than Farming Game in truth. But I googled Anno and the trailer looked great! I'm gonna try it. But I still think the person talking in the background was scary and lifeless.

i'm in the mood to play an RPG and am sort of wanting to delve into the Dragon Quest universe. I've never played a dragon quest game all the way through, and i think the only one's i've played at all were 1 or 2...possibly 3. like, the much older, simple graphic versions.

so my question is this. of the current (particularly recently released) DQ games - which comes more highly recommend? I guess it comes down to DQIV vs DQV. unless there is a better one that is somewhat recent (i just don't feel like playing something with NES graphics right now).
