Soma Bringer is your best bet. You can also try the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series.

Yeah I actually gave SB a try right after I posted that.
Amazing game in co-op so far. Pretty much everything that I ever wanted in an ARPG

Hmm, just finished Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (which was awesome) and I need to keep my mind on a new RPG. I just love RPGs. I tried Dragon Quest IX with a patch but I got bored since the story is one of the most important things (KH 358/2 was awesome even without the story and when I spoiled myself, it got even better).

There are plenty of RPGs. Just saying RPG is vague. Like what kind? ARPGs? SRPGs? turned based RPGs?

avalon code was like a-rpg in a sense that the dungeon floor is filled with puzzle and you have to collect codes to make weapons, armor and it's zelda like(you got little hp that raises on not on your level, and you take good ammount of damage from the enemy), it was like a fun frustration
