Also if you're looking for a great story, GET 999! It has one of the most intricate and absorbing stories I've ever seen in a DS game.

Even though it's been said a lot, get the AA series! I found the first 3 to be really really good. JFA was a tad bit boring, (I used a guide for it) but it's still a necessary game to play if you wan't to understand T&T. I haven't finished playing AJ so far, but it's definitely been good so far (on case 4-2, right in the middle of it.) I have yet to play AAI, but I have heard good things about it.
I would say the music in the AA series is a lot of the series though. If the game didn't have awesome music I probably wouldn't play it as much.

I agree about the music, it is the series' strongest point. Also, BEAT AJ! While the last case isn't up to par with T&T, it's amazing.

I'm right now at the beginning of the last case for T & T, and I love the series. I'd say they have a graduating scale of difficulty, but the over all story is just fantastic.

And if you get stuck, people have been writing spoiler-free walkthroughs out there, so they don't give away the story...
