I just thought I would post a request for some of the best games in everyone's opinion. I've played many a DS game, but I'm sure I missed some DS gold out there somewhere... and what better way to find it than asking fellow gamers?

P.S. I'm really looking for a straight-forward classic rpg styled game, so any games along those lines would be greatly appreciated.

jump ultimate stars n+ metal slug 7 final fantasy crystal chronicles zelda phantom hour glass world ends with you Digimon World Championship Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword

Eww I'm stuck on FFIV in the second world right before you go into that castle place... the enemies are too hard in there. And I'm currently playing DQIV right now, though the ACTUAL British accent is a little too thick for my taste... I'll be waiting for a US release, but that won't stop me from playing.

Back on topic ~ I'm not really talking about the big name games that are announced like 12 months before their release, I'm thinking more along the lines of cult classics... A good example would be The World Ends With You or Guilty Gear Dust Strikers, both amazing games that weren't too heavily advertised, y'know?

I have to say FFIV as well. I honestly don't like FF games that much, but this one was REALLY good. Had me glued to the DS the entire weekend. However, in my experience, it's a really REALLY tough game. If someone in here has beat the game without cheats, then my hat is off to you.

umm the us verison is like that too. Thats how all the dragon quest games are. (atleast the ones i played)

IIRC the accents change completely when you travel to different towns/play with different characters.

I'd say N+ and COOKING MAMA 2. Its so addicting >:{O like 10 pages or recipes to cook and all of them are unique in some way. but N+ is pretty fun also.

Yeah, and that requires heavy grinding just to beat golbez.

No, it doesn't require any grinding at all, just perfect strategy and propably a few tries. I think I beat Golbez on my second try, but he's far from the hardest boss in the game. The difficulty level of this game was just perfect, it's hard without being impossible. If you go and grind then it's no longer hard, and where's the fun in that?

(For the record, I beat the final boss of the game also on my second try. I had all my characters dead except Kain, who had one (1) hp left and was jumping. When he came down, so went the boss)

I never said it couldn't be beaten without cheats. I said I would be impressed if someone did beat it without cheats.
