Gaming Game download codes from different countries

Hey everyone,

I have an Australian 3DS (European region) and a lot of stars in a GB Club Nintendo Account. I always thought I'd just lose these points as I couldn't use them on anything physical, but now that they have added digital content I'm wondering if I'll be able to get some games?

My 3DS is locked to my NNID, which has Australia set as its country. I've read that cross-region games won't work (Japan download code on an Aus 3DS for example), but what of cross-country/same-region?

The region is only what you need to look for. If they have the same eShop librairy you'll be fine.
