Game characters who inspire you

Haytham Kenway from Assassin's Creed III sticks out in my mind. I played Assassin's Creed III at one of my lowest points in life where performing basic tasks was a challenge and seeing someone fight with such conviction was inspiring.

I have to be honest, I don't usually find inspiration from fictional characters. I can say that one character that left an impression on me was Hammer from Xenogears.

Though my memories are vague, I recall him being very enthusiastic, thankful, and charitable. As the story progresses, he's tempted and ultimately passes a point of no return. From there, he goes down a vicious downward spiral. You get to see him one last time near the end of the game, and he's become grotesque, having completely lost his way. The extremes explored made it all incredibly memorable for me.

His character journey reminds us to keep our heads and integrity amid growing temptation.
