Since a shop modded my wii, I don't know what modchip I have. I phoned them up to ask, and they said it would brick my wii if I upgraded the firmware of... (They still didn't tell me the modchip's name!) and I had to wait for the PAL version, which should work.

Just out of curiousity, does Galaxy (PAL) contain the update stopping you from playing it. If so, I can't really see the difference between the PAL and NTSC so the shop must be lying or something?

My understanding is that most chips require a firmware upgrade due to new copy protection on the disc. So, the PAL version will still require a chip firmware upgrade to run (only copies though, not the original disc).
