Hacking G6wiki

So I decide to put one up myself instead of waiting. I was gonna wait until I put more stuff on before showing it off, then I found out my power and skill are just too insufficient. So I'm here begging for help. please come and help adding more materials.

Glad there still are people interested. I tried to add more info. Then I found out the only possible valuable information are about DL play and homebrew since normal game plays are about perfect. I would be very happy if you guys want to help. feel free to edit any pages. And if you don't know how to edit, just click on the edit tab on top of the page. If you wanna make an internal link, just type "[[x]]" (x=the name of the link), a new page with the name "x" will be generated.

Actually I'll figure out myself how to add stuff later when I get my G6DSR. I've been told it was shipped by express a few hours ago locally

EDIT: I mean previews so that they can see the skin before going to the forums to find them

ALSO, about ProjectVirtue's skin, is there something wrong with the background? As far as I know, the menu background is the same as the game options one, therefore the black boxes and the side bar would create confusion on some screens where the game icons are not shown. I hope somebody gets what I mean

As for the guide jerbob92 feel free to add pics, upload it on G6Wiki and/or expand it if you can. Actually it would be really nice if you do so.

Edit- I uploaded the guide to G6Wiki. I will do some changes so the guide can be displayed correctly on G6Wiki.

It's just like that, that's not part of the G6 skinning to be able to edit the actual menu itself, or a secondary background for the game selection screen.

Hopefully, the G6 team will release more customization in later firmwares (they've already added custom icons for homebrew files and folders, although this bit was outshone by the addition of autopatching DLDI)

Thanks for the info about the skin. About this custom icon thing, how is it done? By the firmware itself, or through a separate program (I know of one that can already do this for game icons and headers and stuff)

it's done by a seperate program since it has something to do with hex or something :S

Actually, if you'll download my skin (or some of the later skins) you'll see BMPs titled of NDS_FILE or NDS_FOLDER. These are the custom homebrew/folder icons.

They were added in 2.1 or 2.2 firmware.

With new firmware it would be great to have one good place to find all informations found on this forum.

It would be so great to make a preview with the skinpreviewer and make a page with all of the skins, thumbnails included no ?
