Hi everyone. Got my G6/L working and it's awesome. However, I have a couple of question just regarding its normal usage which I couldn't find any documentation for.

1. Soft Reset... if I don't burn the rom w/ that option enabled, there is no way to exit back to the NDS menu from w/in the game? THus I must physically turn off the DSL and turn back on to reload a different DS rom? (Same question applies to GBA side of things as well)

2. In there any way to swtich between the GBA mode and DS mode w/out turning the console on and off?

3. NES roms use the pocketNES emulator. How do i exit out of this emulator into the GBA menu? I tried Exit/Restart options and emulator just restarts the loaded rom???

I appologize if this has ben asked before.. i went through all the threads and coudlnt' find what I was looking for.

THanks

I don't have my G6 yet but I just read in the directions for updating that you can press Y in the DS menu to go into the GBA mode. Here is the full text:
QUOTE2)
Entering into GBA mode. (There are 3 methods below to enter into GBA mode.)
i)For all users:
Booting up the NDS, press "Y" at the G6 main menu to make console entering into GBA mode.
Alternatively,
ii)*For Flashme users:
Press the "select" button while booting up the console to allow users entering into the NDS main menu. Users may chick the GBA icon from the menu to enter into GBA mode.
iii)*For Passcard users:
Un-plug the PASSCARD may also allow users entering into the NDS main menu. Users may chick the GBA icon from the menu to enter into GBA mode.

3)
Press A+B+sel+start simultaneously when the "green text" screen come out.

4)
Click "yes" to confirm the update when the configuration screen come out.Â

(PASSCARD, PASSKEY, PASSME, FLASHME may be necessary for properly booting flashcard.)

True

for question 2, i meant how to swtich from GBA back to NDS mode. I know you press Y to go into GBA, but how do you get out of it? Manual shut-off is the only method I have

Correct. However, not all games support this as of yet. It seems to be a priority of G6/M3 Team at the moment to improve support. Mario Kart, among other games, do not currently support Soft Reset.

You can switch from DS to GBA by selecting the upper left tab with your stylus (or pressing Left/Right on the Directional Pad) and choosing GBA Mode. You cannot change from GBA to DS.

You must turn off your DS and on again. I'm personally unaware of any homebrew program capable of soft reset itself.
