Well the G6 Lite Pro has no GBA compatibility at all. Only for NDS games.

If you already have a existing flashcart such as M3/SC/EZ4/G6. It would be wise to hold off buying G6 Lite for a bit. There are a few promising carts on the horizon. M3 Lite, SC Lite & EWIN Lite should be available in the coming months. Rumor has it that the EWIN cart will have a "glossy" finsih, the same surface finish as the DS Lite. All these carts should support external storage as well.

You are forgetting one thing... the fact that the G6 Lite does NOT have external storage is an advantage!

I sold my M3 Mini-SD the day before yesterday because I want an internal memory solution. The M3 was stealing almost half of my battery life. My DS Lite was lasting only about 5 hours. Now with original games I can get almost 12 hours out of it. That's a huge difference for me.

Granted the G6 lite only has 512MB right now but I'll probably switch to the 1GB version when it comes out. 1GB is fine for me ("... and should be enough for everyone")

I'll probably wait for the 8Gbit version. 1GByte is where its at.

Hopefully news on the 8gbit version comes soon

According to Danny from G6, they "consider" to release an 8G version, but if they do it, it will be out in 3 months time...that really sucks...

Hi ***** ,

We will consider to do that (making an G6 Lite 8G).
But possible it will be available 3 month later .

Regards
Danny

Well, I guess I'm going to go ahead and get the 4G version and just buy a dedicated MP3 player if I decide I really need one.

I think it would hold 8. My 512Mbit gba cart holds a 512mbit rom. I assume a 4Gbit g6 would hold 4Gbit of roms. Sorry if I missed something.

ALthough yours may have some way around this, chances are your 512mbit cart only holds a 512mbit game if its flashed with no loader. If you put multiple games on the cart, which requires the loader be flashed as well, you'll actually have slightly less than 512mbits of space available, because the loader takes up a small amount of space too. Rom trimming usually overcomes this though, so while technically there would be less than 4Gbit of space available, in actual practice 4Gbits worth of ROMs would probably still fit since they won't take up the full 4Gbits once theyre trimmed.

It's late. Hope that made sense.

how come whenever i trim some games, my M3 doesn't play it and makes a white screen?

I hope the G6 doesn't do this cuz i ordered the 512mb version.
Also, does moonshell work on the G6? i looked at the moonshell setup.exe and it doesn't list G6 with the M3SD,CF,MiniSD etc.

I realized after I posted that the EFA program probably trimmed the rom I tried. But the DS roms get trimmmed too, so that would probably still work out as you said.

What has been updated, only support for G6 or extra features?
