I finally finished compiling MOST of the icons that I could and uploaded it to my website. Here ya go...
G6 icon collection
Here's the readme just for giggles and grins and so you don't hog my bandwidth without knowing whats included in the 20 megabytes of 8kb files.

This is a collection of most of the .ico icon files created by the manager software for the GBA/NDS flashcart G6-Lite. DS/GBA NAME folder contains every icon for GBA/DS sorted by name. Likewise for the "NUMBER" folders.
This collection is necessary at this point because there is currently no program that will create a custom icon for the G6 menus. This is how best you use this collection:
Use the u-disk manager software as you normally would for any game you wish to put on the G6. Fill it up to your heart's content. Run the G6 to find out which icons do not show up in GBA mode, or take note of what roms you would like to change the icon to.
Note: If you are using an emulator packaging program such as Snezziboy, I suggest renaming the output file from .gba to .nds and using the "direct copy" function within u-disk manager. Doing this will give you no icon, which I think what the nds icons are useful for. (Megaman X can use Rockman ZX icon, Super Metroid can use metroid prime hunters/pinball, mario for mario etc...)
For all the icons that you'd like to change, or show up as G6Loader default icon, search the folders using trusty old windows explorer, find a suitable replacement icon from another game and rename it to the name of the rom on your G6. Check the G6 to make sure the rom icon you chose is not the default icon or not to you liking. Rinse and repeat if necessary. All done!
Considering what rom you would like to change the icon for, there are several good options I suggest:
If the rom was released in Japan earlier and you want the english version and it doesnt have an icon, try using the Japanese version's icon. This worked for me with Rockman ZX
If the rom was just released and not released earlier in some other language, or the other languages don't have an icon too, I prefer finding something which reminds me of the game.
ex.: I use britney's dance beat for rhythm tengoku because its a funny similarity
ex.: I use a random game named Akagi(J) that I know nothing about for digidrive because its icon (title screen) happens to have a big japanese symbol, and this reminds me of digidrive because it's only in Japanese right now. Maybe the Cars (U) GBA game could be a good fit too since digidrive is about cars in my opinion. You get the picture.
ex.: Yoshi Topsy Turvy for SMA3: Yoshi's Island. Yoshi Topsy Turvy can't be played on flashcards (as far as I know) so this is a perfect fit for the iconless SMA3 (U) and SMA3 (J)
Anyways, use that windows search and it shouldnt take you too long to find an appropriate substitute. Sooner or later you'll be getting as much effect out of the G6's pretty menus as possible right now.
NOTES:
I don't know why but my windows explorer doesn't like seeing all these strange-format .ico files in a huge bunch and slows down a lot when browsing through them...so use an alternative file browser like total commander or just use the windows search to locate a good match. Like, type in yoshi and pick from the results.
G6 u-disk manager seems to only show you the icons for properly converted games. So when you replace the icon you want to, it will probably show you in u-disk manager that ugly default pic. You'll probably have to boot up on your DS to see the results of the change. Don't forget to keep "eject"ing that cartridge, G6 is NOT hot-pluggable!
I have all NDS rom icons up to 400 except for 103 Meteos (E). Sorry for the lack of the newer roms icons, this friggin process takes MUCH longer than you think and I promise I'll get to it soon.
Also, there are a few GBA icons missing, I know. And all the newer ones up from 2420 arent in there either, but they probably don't have an icon anyway since G6 team is so lazy. Thats why this whole collecton is needed is because they haven't kept up with it.
