biggles the megabyte:
Sorry you heard a bit late that PassCard 3 was needed for NDS playback.

crazy:
If you haven't already, yes, reformat.

muhammad:
First, please, no caps or double postings. Now, could you elaborate as to what exactly the issue is? Are you using the G6 Movie Player, Media-Extend or the G6 Moonshell? Is your movie a .dpg?

Thanks for the great guide TheSpade.

I have the G6 lite and Passcard3 and have come to a big problem that I'm wondering if anyone has come across or knows how to solve. Recently my save games on the NDS aren't saving. I'll either save and the next time I enter the game, it'll be as if I never played or the game will just refuse to save, giving me a 'save failed' message or something similar.

I've read your faq which advises charging the g6 lite and I've done this. I actually left the g6 lite plugged into the USB of my pc for several hours but no luck.

What's wierd is that, GBA games are saving fine, the problem is just on the NDS side of things.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Theres only one thing that I really wanna know :
How many DS ROMs I'll be able to put in the G6(4Gb), approx.?
Just so I can have a space idea, lets put that I'm filling the cartridge with only ROMs(DS ROMs)..

The actual capacity of the G6 lite is about 499 megabytes (522,000,000 bytes or so) so you can fit a minimum of seven 64 meg games without trimming the roms. Roms seem to trim to about 75% - 80% of their original size on average in my experience.

DS games range from 8 to 128 megabytes, with the majority of the big name games being 64 megs.

I usually have 10 - 12 DS games and 10 or so GBA games on my G6.

OK i have a G6lite & Superkey and most games work grand but some dont, Mario Hoops and the new Tony Hawk won't work. Someone told me i needed to do this:

Updating your G6 Lite Loader
1. Connect your G6 onto the UBurner and insert into your USB Slot.
2. Copy the g6loader.sys and g6verify.sys files to your G6's root directory.
3. Safely remove the UBurner from your PC and insert the G6 Lite into your DS.
4. Boot your G6 Lite in GBA Mode.
5. When the disclaimer in green text appears, hold down A + B + Select + Start.
6. Select Yes.
7. Allow it to update (do not power down your DS).
8. When you reach the G6 GBA Main Menu, you are done. You may delete the 2 sys files if desired.

And i done that and it worked, but the games still won't play???

Yep, the latest update still doesn't support those games apparently...

There are 2 Super NES emulators: SNESDS, which is discontinued and SnezziDS, currently under development. Forget SNESDS unless someone revives the project. As for SnezziDS, give the author(s) time to get a LOT of polish applied. Super NES emulation on DS is going to be a waiting game for quite sometime.

No, and search on this topic that's been covered over a thousand times. It is 4 gigabits not 4 gigabytes, 4 gigabits = 500 megabytes approx. 8 bits = 1 byte.
