Hacking g6 lite final retail version

What do you mean you're getting a normal one? The normal one is the final one.

O-o in the picture there's "final retail, the one most people have, and evaluation"

i ordered the one that most people have and it's suppose to arrive today.
i assume final retail would be the english one?

i'm probably wrong.


edit: oh nvm i confused "trial" and "for review"
i thought review was the one with the sticker and trial the one that everyone's getting

I personally likes the non-transparent cart instead of the semi transparent. Why did they have to change that

Who cares what the body looks like, as long as the face plate looks good. You won't ever see the rest of the cart when it's in the DS.

I would like to get the final version.
The trail version one I am using now is really suck.
You should very carefully remove it from the usb reader or the cover is very easily be opened.
And, it does't fit the ds lite very well. You can hardly install in and remove out from ds lite.

The review in HK forum described that the final version cover fit more well and have better quality.
So, The HK people now can't wait anymore to replace the final one.

It looks more like the normal dust cover now.

my g6 lite doesnt get hot, even after a long time of playing.

And a normal person cant see that its not the dust cover thats in the ds lite

I received mine today, it is the final box but the trial cartidge.
Funny but it works well so i won't complain.

so you can't install english loader on it ?

No i can't install english loader but it is not a big deal, you just have to switch on the DS and click on the game you wanna play.
I have only the white dsl case and the gba one, it is what i asked for i guess you can choose your color.

My guess is that while we're in a transition period, there's going to be a mixture of trial carts, final carts, english carts, chinese carts, trial boxes, final boxes, english boxes and chinese boxes, from all sorts of different retailers. I think I'll wait a few more weeks until thinks have calmed down.

Looks to me like the final cart is slightly closer to the NDSL white colour. Can't wait to get mine.

I got my final cart cover today from psxbox, but its actually worse then the test cover.

color doesnt match at all, and its some sort of see-through plastic, i can see the battery when the cart is inside my ds lite

I will keep using the test cover

Does the review version have better build than the test version?

The trial version match well the colour of the ds lite white, but it doesn't have this half transparent gloss like the GBA dust cover.

Ok here's my big question

Since the test and final GBA carts are not 100% matching with the DS lite
Has ANYBODY tried to mod their DS lite gba cover in order to fit the g6 lite chip?

To me it seems entirely possible, or I could be wrong

yes its possible, but the biggest problem is the battery.

i failed in modding my dust cover, i drilled to far and created a hole in it
