I'm sorry this image doesn't make much sense it looks normal unless I'm just blind

Mind clarifying ?

seems like it points out those two pins we need to short are available as test points. so you can short them there, or maybe even install an extra button in your joycon to enter SCM mode whenever

I'm sure someone could even put a tiny pc like a raspberry pi in a joycon R so you can just run payloads from the hacked joycon.

No, it was never the idea that you install any patches on the console. It was supposed to be a coldboot that loads cfw from sd.
Gotcha. In that case it's a little inconvenient, though probably not a big deal as long as your battery never runs out. I think I'd probably install a momentary switch in the back of my Joy-con or something

Wonder if this is the Team Xecuter solder-less mod chip, lol
It practically is. They're releasing this flimsy looking 3D printed boarding with two pins and metal in it. What the fuck they needed to go through chinese suppliers for, I have no clue. Probably shitty PR tactics.

The easiest way which has been said so many times would be to just short the pins on the side of the switch itself, rather than using the joycon. You could take the metal railing off to make it easy, or like failoverflow is teasing, just stick some wire in the holes.

you know those "keys" to unlock the sim trays of modern phones? they seem to be just big enough to touch two pins.

Would love to try this out but am scared that I will break something.
Knowing me I will short the wrong pins and fry the joycon rail.

Almost broken the pin 10 trying to short witch joycon closed.
