Fully bricked wii u. Please help!

Hi, so my wii u got bricked by one of my friends. He deleted some files here and there and now it's so bad gone it doesnt even show an error or anything. Just a plain black screen. I have a backup but I have no idea how to fix it whatsoever

just sits there lighted up with blue. no blinking, nothing, just straight up blue

he doesnt remember what he deleted. also there is FTPiiu installed but it doesnt work bc ''the hdd is blank'' or smth, i just asked about that

@annahardy Do you or your friend have soldering experience? If not, then your friend can look on ebay for a used wii u in good condition

He does have soldering experience thanks god. Even if I did, he's in Russia and I'm in Bulgaria so it all depends on him

Just for the future - After he installs the RPi Pico and everything with a 1 gb sd card, how should the nand restoring be done?

After that it might be worth to first take a look at the log to see where it crashes. But there is a guide for rebuilding the MLC. If he just runs the setup without eating it first he might be able to keep his data depending on what he deleted.
