hey all, i did a search and it doesnt seem like anyone made a thread about this yet...
theres a new open source handheld for running gba/snes/megadrive/neo geo/nes/and cps1+2 emulators on... it also plays mp3/flac and xvid movies without transcode. it looks pretty sweet and i ordered one last week (should be here next week with any luck!).
seems like some of the emulators are a bit flaky (snes and megadrive) but gba works very well apparently (100% for most games). im hopeful that the open source community will get on this and we'll see some even more polished emulators in the future.
theyre in stock at dealextreme currently, and if you would rather order from the UK then gbax.com will have some in soonish afaik. there's a ton of videos on youtube, here's one showing its emulation capability:
and a nice in depth review here:
(part1 and part 2)
if anyones interested i'll update the thread with my thoughts in a few days once its arrived. :-)
