God damn.

Even if my walk to school is less than a kilometer, it's still fucking aggravating when you don't have a jacket, and you're walking through a fucking snow storm.

Feet wet and shit from walking through snow.

And some of my teachers couldn't make it to class.

Fuck.

Data Management class was canceled, English was canceled due to low attendance...

God damn, I hate snow SO FUCKING MUCH.

In my town, there´s no snow. NEVER

. Only that fu***** time in Winter.

That sucks bro. I live in Missouri, and it finally seems like winter's coming to an end. This was the coldest, longest, and snowiest winter I've seen in the 10 years that I've lived here.

Then move to tropical like Florida (if you like humidity and hot weather) or North California (If you like less humidity and dry weather).

This year Sweden is having the worst winter since 1941-1942. Tons of snow people dying because ice falling from roofs, car accidents, roof falls inn and so much snow they need to fill trucks with it and drive it away from the city's SMHI (Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute) comes with class 1 or 2 warnings ever single day and some schools are closed because people are not able to to make their way to school because of all fucking snow, also cold like a ice bear asshole, 100 and 100 of traffic accidents. almost no trains are going nor the buses. its a fucking snow hell :/
if anyone here can read Swedish or want to use google translate, here is a link to a Swedish newspaper site:

Maybe he can't afford a good jacket? :|

Who can't afford a jacket?
How can you make a statement like that without any background information on his financial situation? Just because you can afford to buy new clothes doesn't mean he can.

Well, He has internet.

And from all his posts i've read he doesn't sounds that broke. (Apologies in case you do Scubs)

Also, A jacket wouldn't solve everything (It would still help though), Cuz his teachers would still skip classes.

I hope it doesn't snows when you have classes again cause that would suck.

shit dude that sucks.
Your school doesn't have online class info? You should check it out.
Back in me cegep/uni days I'd always check the website for class cancellations.
It wouldn't have changed much for the English class, but the other one would
have more than likely been posted if the teacher couldn't make it.

Also, every school I've ever heard of has a place for people with money problems. I don't pretend to even guess at your situation, but if it's lack of cash for a jacket, guaranteed the school can help you out. There's no shame at all in that. Hell during my cegep days I lived off cup ramen and the 50% racks at the grocery store.

You say that like anyone can just go anywhere at any given time with no problems whatsoever.

The school can, they just avoid it at all possible costs. I think I can guilt trip one of the VPs to get me a computer because I work in the office first period in the office now.

I concur, after all. You ARE Canadian (going by the flag under your avatar) doesn't it snow there rather a lot?
Common misconception, I live in Toronto, which is pretty comparable to New York. Well, except for our significantly lower population.

That sucks, I went to school in Montreal and Ottawa (Dawson then Carleton) and both were more than willing to help out. Sucks that your school is taking the opposite view.

Well, my mom was in an accident this year cuza the snow. Other than that, it wasn't too bad of a year. Not cold at all this year, I think we had 1 day in the 0's, other than that, it's been in the low 10's as the low and mid 20's as a relative high. Snow's been coming though, but it's hard to complain when it's this warm out. (I live in Chicago, mid 20's is like high 70's for people who live in warm areas)

Apologies I was working off the fact that most of Canada is similar latitude to the UK and doesn't have the Gulf Stream warming it so gets a lot colder than us Brits during winter. Looking at Google Maps I see that Toronto is more the same latitude as the South of France so it would be a damn-site warmer there. Doesn't stop snow though obviously.
