So essentially, Ai is using the photos as a reference... not unlike humans doing the same exact thing. For a minute there I thought you were going to show me blatant art theft, lol. But that's clearly not the case.

See, by avoiding exactly copying unique styles, it becomes this dry and bland "AI" garbage you can identify from 10 miles away, and again, that's perfectly fine. It's the same thing with political situation - let them wear their hats and erect monuments of days past, so we can CLEARLY see whom and where to avoid.

Someone explained this

"Imagine you built a sandcastle you're really proud of from years of experience, only for it to be destroyed by someone who then took your work and made it look worse and unrecognizable and claim it as their own"

It's not a reference if it shows too much similarities to the original drawings like the poses and style

A reference are pictures of an original artwork that artists use to base off their own artistic creations like if they want to draw some cartoon character, they can use the official reference sheets to get the character right and then have them do whatever like riding a bike or driving a car

Ai Art just uses real art and tweaks it to whatever the person commanding it wants, not having everything made from the ground up

So if someone types a cartoon character wanting to a ride a bike, AI will just use an existing drawing of a cartoon character riding a bike that someone drew and mess that up when generating it

Why can't you see the troubles some of us go through when we have art that we spent so long to draw and use up our creative energy, only for it to be used in a data set that's used to train AI to generate art is less than 10 seconds that almost perfectly imitates your style

You need to get back to reality
You need to get out of your mom's basement. Come to a Tokyo Game Show and check out the cosplay. Go to a park in Harajuku on a Sunday, during the summer. Yes, there are real people who look and dress like this, in Japan. Usually not such a set of lungs... but close sometimes...
