So I can do everything up until the FTP. Neither filezilla nor cyberduck will connect at all. Both are on the same wifi and wifi works on my vita. whats happening

When you say 'won't connect', what error message are you getting exactly?

Is the Vita saying that it has started FTP successfully? i.e. giving you an IP address and port to connect to. And are you using Moonshell or VitaShell?

No ftp clients can find the server. And I'm using vitashell. It shows 192.168.1.9:1337

It is. I am using VitaShell. The Vita is hosting (i think) but the pc wont pick up. Often my Vita's internet connection fucks off until I reboot, which is my current theory.

the wifi may be going out. I'm not sure how it will affect the vita if it fails completely. you might have to use a usb connection. however, usb with vita shell can't access all partitions or at least that was the case a while back. that may have changed.

When the wifi cuts out, it returns after reboot. vitashell appears to kill it and i don't want to use usb rn. Any solutions in the meantime?

you are aware the 1337 part of the ip address is actually the port information?

Yes. Everyone types it like that and even if I thought it was part of the IP, Filezilla would detect it as the port. My point is that my vita has wifi issues. Also, any good PSM stuff?

Okay, but what error message(s) are the FTP clients giving, if any? Are they just timing out?

Wait, so now you're saying your Vita's wi-fi is cutting out? In your first post you said it works.

I mean the Vita Wifi often cuts out until reboot, but when it works it works.
Also, the Vita was under a different IP.

Alright, well I couldn't call that working - sounds like a problem somewhere.

But any idea why it would say it had one IP when it actually had another? Never seen that before.

can you connect to qcma? it's not exactly stable through wifi though. I backed up my vita via usb and qcma, but afaik, you have to use wifi with the pstv. I backed up my sd card/flash drive at over 100GBs apiece. wirelessly, it would take about a day to transfer over a system backup, and I had it lose connection several times, which was extremely frustrating. that's when I used a direct connection (pstv to pc) with an ethernet cable. it was stable then. I'm not sure if it's just due to the wifi with the vita/pstv sucking or if qcma has problems. you might try a system backup via wifi. that should take long enough to see if it loses connection, but as I said, it's not very stable with wifi either.

Do you have adrenaline and is it hooked up to wifi because I was just having the same problem like 10 minutes ago and I figured out that since the adrenaline app was hooked up to wifi and ps tv too it was causing it not to want to connect to host? If not im not entirely sure but thats what worked for me.
