then i went to karo 218 and disabled updates
my ps4 is 9.00
every time I would start a game it would not start the game update download and the firmware download would not start either
then i formatted the ps4 and my ps4 changed
it would download the game updates and also the firmware
they told me to switch from np to sp-int and i did that
only playroom update download starts how is that possible with sp-int?
then i downloaded the update to make it stop bothering me

Al Azif's DNS does not work for everyone.

It all depends on your ISP.
Some ISP's do not allow you to use custom DNS's so if you use a custom DNS they will override it to use their own.

A way to check if the AlAzif DNS is working for you is to open the browser on your PS4 and go to http://playstation.com or http://playstation.net.

If AlAzif's DNS is working correctly it should block these addresses and it should say "Network Error" on your browser screen.

While other websites,e.g http://google.com should load correctly.

al azif dns worked
then I formatted because the ps4 had problems
I reset the dns of al azif and then from karo218 I blocked the updates
al azif's dns no longer work and my ISP is the same because I haven't changed the connection
now in the ps4 there are cloud flare dns since al azif dns no longer work

I think the update blocker doesn't work properly with anything above 5.05. the blocking part is deleted if you get a kp on anything but, so be careful. it should work other than that though. also, don't worry about game updates with fpkgs. they should fail to install due to a checksum error with the base game. if you're worried, you can always cache the exploit(s), then disable the internet. nothing will download then.

i put sp-int and i am quiet
when the playroom update comes out it will start automatic downloading
only the playroom
but how is that possible if i put sp-int? shouldn't it download automatically
then another strange thing
the automatic download of the 1.05 update had started and it said impossible to download
then the automatic download of the 1.07 update started and it downloaded it

don't worry about playroom. if it doesn't work on the system, you can always download it from certain sites. it doesn't matter if it updates or not as I think the last update was for firmware 2.00. on those sites, you might be able to download some of its minigames, but I think it requires the camera accessory to do anything with the game.

This is why I posted a question earlier that nobody answered. No one seems to have a final answer. Everyone with a diff experience and none of it definitive. Isnt there anyone who knows how to avoid this and all updates or do we have go blind and accidentally update?
