(also to add to the 3 glitches, the song goes out of sync in the middle-ish area, but that shouldn't be a problem with any game mechanics)
First of all, I know you plan on having the songs not built into the binary, but I would suggest instead of reading from frets of fury files directly (I believe they are .mid), there should be a converter to convert the .mid to plaintext (I am pretty sure the song file is NOT included in the .mid, but if it is this wouldn't work).
I am suggesting this for a few reasons.
1. It would be easier to implement (at least for me). (especially since the game I am making uses ASCII maps)
2. I think that plaintext would make the song files smaller.
3. And it would make the game decode the file faster.
(not a big reason)4. To make sure there is no orange fret notes in the song file (the converter could check that or something)
I, of course, have no idea what you were planning to do about this, so maybe you already had a good plan. But that is what
I would do, so I just wanted to share.
And if you need help fixing anything let me know...
