Hacking Fresh 4.2 hack

I bought a wii a couple days ago and stupidly updated from nintendo to 4.2, is the stickied guide by xzxero still going to help me? or am I screwed?

Yes It will work. I soft modded my friends wii with 4.2U and worked flawlessly.

Do i start from the beginning, or at the section that is labeled "Modify 4.2" since i already have 4.2

follow the guide except instead of Trucha Bug Restorer, on a virgin 4.2 you have to use TBR mod... search for it here... other than that.. follow the guide and you are good to go~!

if you do not use TBR mod... you will not be able to downgrade IOS15 properly. (which is the initial step in TBR)

The ones provided in xzxeros guide work perfectly on virgin 4.2 Wii's.

I did a virgin 4.2E black one only 5 mins ago. Flawless.

alright, i'm going to try and run with the stuff on the guide, and if that doesnt work i'll get the modded TBR. I wasn't able to install bootmii as boot2, only as IOS. Also, i only had 2 bad blocks, i guess thats good?
