Gaming Freeze problem with chrono trigger

Well i started playing chrono trigger several weeks ago and i had no problems with the game until now. I am at the first encounter with lavos in the magic world (forgot the year

) after the fight when lavos starts destroying the world the game suddenly freezes but the music goes on. I tried this part with a R4 and a M3 real and with Usa version and Europe version but it still freezes. I suspect the save to be corrupt or something but I am not sure. I hope you can help me.

why not try formatting your microSD card ?
replace it with a new firmware ?
before that please backup your games and sav

I have the same problem, it's the reason why I quit playing the DS version and moved on the SNES version.
