Hacking free the wads

i want to know if this is still necessary on a hacked 4.0U wii with preloader.i never used free the wads (i think that is what it is called).right now i'm downloading contra rebirth.

never mind didn't need to use it game worked without free the wads.

Freethewads is only useful for Wiiware anyway, with Virtual Console there is still sound lag.
Also, isnt Freethewads kinda useless now with Waninkokos NAND Loader?
